The Bristol Data Dome is the UK’s first 4K stereo vision full-dome theatre. It has been adapted for the presentation of live media and complex intelligence sets within virtual reality. Innovative visual approaches for presenting data within this planetarium environment were developed to provide audiences with a unique perspective and in-depth understanding of Bristol and its population. Having been presented with 250 sources of information which ranged from studies on sociological mapping, air purity, high water marks, and distribution of public artwork, various forms of infographic were developed for this 360° experience.
